We as preteens must be careful and make sure those we admire can first be trusted. There are so many gifted people that surround us… like our teachers, coaches, pastors, grandparents and even older teens and college students. We must remember a hero is someone who protects and keeps others safe. If that someone we look to as a hero makes poor choices and isn’t safe, maybe our choice of hero needs to change.
